Shimmer and Shine Birthday

It's Friday, it's Friday...and I get a long weekend away...it's Friday!
Can you tell I'm a little excited?!?!  It's the first weekend in MONTHS that my hubby has off (thanks to a few shift trades) and we are headed out of town for a much needed family get away.
But, before we start with our weekend fun, it's time for some Friday Mashup fun!  Amy has a fun challenge for us this week!  Birthday is the theme and the mashup is using a technique of your choice.  Oh-so-many possibilities!
I've been on a major watercolor kick lately, so I decided to do a fun watercolor background created by inking up a piece of Window sheet paper, spritzing it and smashing it on top of the watercolor paper.  By doing this with a couple of different colors, you end up with a really pretty and one-of-a-kind background.  I also used the kissing technique for the ballons...fun way to add a little more to your favorite stamps!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Fancy Foil Vellum, Watercolor Paper, Gold Glimmer
Ink ~ Calypso Coral, Blushing Bride, Watermelon Wonder, VersaMark
Stamp Set ~ Celebrate Today
Other Supplies ~ Balloon Framelits, Very Vanilla Thick Bakers Twine, Metallic Sequins, Gold Embossing Powder

Don't forget to check out the rest of the Mashup designs from our team and be sure to play along!

Happy Stamping!
